Mortal Kombat XL Releasing with Overwhelming Characters on March 1st!

The newest game is the expansion pack of the award-winning Mortal Kombat X; it was ranked Fighting Game Of The Year by 19th D.I.C.E. Awards and The Game Awards 2015.

NetherRealm studios revealed that the new characters in Kombat Pack 2 of Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat XL will be released on March 1.

The new DLC pack will also include Tri-Borg, a character that features moves derived from the fighting styles of other "Mortal Kombat" characters such as Cyrax, Sektor, Smoke, and Cyber Sub-Zero. If Mortal Kombat X's$20 Kombat Pack 2 proves lucrative enough, don't be surprised to see NetherRealm announce even more guest characters for future DLC, or perhaps even a spin-off game dedicated entirely to horror film characters. There is no proper changelog just yet, but here's what we know is going to be included: "New Netcode, XL Characters(Not yet playable), The Pit Stage and several Character Buffs/Changes". Only the Medieval Pack is available for free; the rest of the two packs will be accessible once you purchase the Kombat Pack 2.

If you are a Mortal Kombat fan, you'll want to buckle yourself in - there is a ton of content hitting Mortal Kombat X today.

If you own Kombat Pack 1, you can grab Kombat Pack 2. Along with the new characters, players will get some additional costumes for certain characters already on the roster. So if you haven't purchased any of the previous content, then you can get them both together now, or if you already have the first pack then the second is available to buy anyway. The game's online multiplayer was also region locked, which meant that if you imported a copy, you'd have to play at frightful pings.
