Peyton Manning still mulling retirement

Broncos general mangaer John Elway has maintained that the organization will give Manning all the time he needs, though the reality is that a decision needs to be made before March 9. Manning's $19 million becomes fully guaranteed Wednesday.

The Broncos haven't told Peyton Manning they'll cut him if he doesn't retire.

Manning, 39, is mulling retirement from the National Football League after 18 seasons. Numerous rumors are swirling around, but McKee's report suggests Manning's future lies somewhere other than Denver.

The Broncos don't have an official answer from Peyton Manning yet regarding his status next year.

Osweiler is expected to be a free agent next week though the Broncos will continue to try and work out a deal.

The Broncos will let the nature of the open market do their negotiating for them.

Of course, the five-time MVP and commercial pitchman knows the country is waiting for his decision. However, Manning might soon realize he's only delaying an inevitable retirement announcement.

Condon went on 104.3 The Fan last Wednesday morning with Mark Schlereth and Mike Evans to talk about where Manning's mind is at as we inch closer to deadline day (March 8) for the Broncos and Manning.

At one point, the fake Peyton addresses recent rape allegations dating back to his college days. He completed just 13 passes for 141 yards in the Super Bowl.

He went 5-2 as a starter during the team's Super Bowl winning season.

His first came in 2007 with the Colts, who drafted him No. 1 overall in 1998.

Condon said Manning, who will turn 40 later this month, will generate interest with teams outside of Denver if it comes to that.
