Children subject of Amber Alert found dead, mother arrested

Their mother is now facing the possibility of murder charges.
Liliana Hernandez (L) and Rene Pasztor. Pasztor, the two children and Frank Macomber had been the subject of a statewide Amber Alert Monday after Liliana and Rene were taken from their home on USA 33 early Monday morning.
"There's nothing [police] could find that would link her to the Elkhart area", Elkhart Police Sgt. Police say their bodies were found in a auto mat. Unfortunately there is a lot of distance between here and there.
"We don't [know] why they ended up in Elkhart, why they left Allen County, what brought them here". Did she admit to it?
If you have any information on these children, contact the Allen County Sheriff at 260-449-7661. An arrest warrant was issued for failure to appear on Monday.
"When somebody pulls up and says, 'hey, I have two deceased kids in the backseat, ' that's a very emotional time for that officer", Snyder said.
"She wasn't resistant at all", Snyder said. Mother Amber Pasztor of Fort Wayne was being held in the Elkhart County jail, 70 miles away, and has yet to be formally charged.
A body found in Fort Wayne early Tuesday morning may be tied to the case involving two children who were found dead in a vehicle behind the Elkhart Police Department Monday.
When she was arrested Monday, Pasztor was taken to the hospital, but officials are unsure what her status is mentally.

The auto was also being sought in connection with the Amber Alert.
Elkhart, Ind., police found Liliana and Rene dead at about 5:25 p.m.in the backseat of a vehicle behind police headquarters after Pasztor flagged down an officer leaving the building to tell him that two bodies were in her auto, The Elkhart Truth reported.
The arrest of Amber Pasztor generated interest not only in the Fort Wayne area but across the country.
The children were last seen at 6:21 am EDT in Fort Wayne, IN and are believed to be in extreme danger.
Frank Macomber, 65, was believed to traveling with Amber Pasztor. A third body was found in Fort Wayne, Ind., Tuesday morning.
Several officers and members of the Arcola Fire Department searched a wooded area behind the home. The Elkhart Coroner's office said Liliana Hernandez, 7, and Rene Pasztor, 6, both died from asphyxia. Officers returned to the scene at around 8 a.m.
