Colin Kaepernick made his first start of the 2016 season Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers traveled to Orchard Park, N.Y., for a date with the Buffalo Bills.
"I don't understand what's un-American about fighting for liberty and justice for everybody, for the equality that this country says it stands for", he said. It didn't go well for the Niners quarterback, who completed just 13 of 29 passes for 187 yards as San Francisco got destroyed 45-16. Quarterback Tyrod Taylor ran for 68 yards, running back Mike Gillislee ran for 60 yards and a touchdown, and even rookie Jonathan Williams got some carries late, racking up 21 yards on five carries. For his first extended playing time since a year ago, I thought there were some real positives there that I think we can try to build with him and get him going. "I think for the most part people are realizing the impact and what's going on, and like I said from the beginning, I knew the consequences of what could come with this, and I was prepared for that". I thought he extended some drives, keeping plays alive with his legs. The highlights were too few and the 49ers kicked too many field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.
Kaepernick has polarised opinion amongst National Football League fans since pre-season for the silent protest he says is against social injustice and police brutality. "We finish those with touchdowns, the outlook of the game is different".
No medical bulletin on Jayalalithaa's condition for 6 days
Radhakrishnan said, "Narendra Modi is keen to know about the health condition of the Chief Minster with regular updates". Mishra and Nayak spent for more than half an hour at the hospital and wished the speedy recovery of the Chief Minister.
The question now is whether Kaepernick will start in his second consecutive game when the 49ers face against Tampa Bay Sunday.
While Kaepernick's accuracy and completion percentage was much better than previous starter Blaine Gabbert, he injected the offense with some energy and he possesses a much stronger arm than Gabbert, giving the 49ers a deep threat that was lacking with Gabbert.
"I don't begrudge Kaepernick for being politically active, and I didn't see his post-game presser". It is unclear now whether or not Niners' coach Chip Kelly will put Kaepernick in as starter next week during the team's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Sunday.
