XFINITY: Logano wins at Charlotte as Round of 8 set

Thanks to Hurricane Matthew, the track ran the Bank of America 500 Sprint Cup race first, followed by the Drive for the Cure 300 Xfinity race.

Also, Hurricane Matthew has tracked further inland than expected on Friday night and early Saturday.

All 12 remaining Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers start the Charlotte race on even terms after the elimination of four drivers last Sunday at Dover.

But Logano had tire troubles in the Cup race, came 120 miles short of completion, and joked it made him fresh for the Xfinity race.

It is the opening race of the second round in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.
