UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo has confirmed he will face Max Holloway at UFC 208 on February 11.
After the fight, Holloway called out official featherweight champ Jose Aldo in front of the Toronto crowd.
"I ain't over here begging for fights", Holloway said at the UFC 206 post-fight press conference, per Damon Martin of FOX Sports.
Referee Yves Lavigne stopped the fight with 10 seconds remaining in the third round, as Pettis (19-6) fell to the matte in a crouched position to cover up from punches. It's not something new.
US life expectancy falls, as many kinds of death increase
Death rates for Alzheimer's, respiratory disease, kidney disease and diabetes also saw a rise, along with suicide and accidents. Some years the CDC later revises its life expectancy estimate after doing additional analysis, including for its 2014 estimate.
"I don't want to give up my son's birthday and Christmas for February 11 and he don't show up, you know?"
The proposed bout for UFC 208 on February 11 was a topic of discussion immediately after Holloway knocked out Anthony Pettis to capture the title on Saturday night with Aldo waiting in the wings to face the victor. Obviously if this fight does go down, Holloway's not going to have much down time in between fights. "I wanted to fight but at the end of the day I didn't meet the new owners yet". Cerrone went with his customary "Cowboy" theme from Kid Rock, while Brown used Jamie Jasta's "I am the Immortal" ahead of the co-main event. "I've got to talk to Dana White first, I've got a brunch that I want to sit down and talk to him and Sean Shelby and we can talk business". "If he wants to fight me, he can come see me". "This is business and this is fighting so, we got something up our sleeves so we'll see what happens". The interim tag was removed prior to UFC 206, when the promotion decided to make Holloway vs. Pettis for the interim belt. I just looked and it's eight weeks out already.
Max Holloway finally has some gold around his waist (albeit an interim title), and all it took was ten impressive wins in a row to get there. "We'll see what happens".
