In February of past year, Michael was placed with Tara Montgomery and her family, the third of his three foster families.
"Michael was placed with us on February 14, 2015, when he was 18 months old". Little Michael Brown was officially adopted by his foster family, and his reaction shots to the news are pretty darn incredible. The original plan was for his biological mom to regain custody, but when that fell through Montgomery opened her house and her heart.
At first, Tara had second thoughts about the little boy being placed to her, because she was a single parent.
Dezhianna "Dae" Brown's Twitter post of photos of her adoptive brother Michael had over 55,000 retweets and almost 140,000 likes by Friday morning. She says Michael is "just what her family needed".
Michael was adopted Tuesday in Phoenix, according to KPHO.
"He was our valentine baby, his last name was already Brown (which was the same as my kids) and he looked as if he could have been truly related", she said.
Dead orca was 'looking skinny' over the summer, researchers say
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans confirmed J34, an 18-year-old orca, was found dead near Sechelt on December 20. Once clean, the bones will be reassembled and displayed. "So this will be a great specimen for display".
The three-year-old was placed in foster care previous year with Tara Montgomery in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was so excited that he couldn't help but tell the entire courthouse the news - by holding up a chalkboard with the message: "Some things are worth the wait, after 832 days in foster care today I'm adopted". Montgomery told ABC News that she and her family had an instant connection with Michael, and the adoption was "meant to be".
Up until two days ago, Michael was a foster child.
"This photo is the definition of his personality", Tara explains. "The impact you are making will last a lifetime on the child", Montgomery said.
More happy stuff like this in 2017, please.
"I just tweeted, 'We are his forever family.' It just blew up on twitter", says Brown.
