After making a couple of impressive moves yesterday, it appears that the Jacksonville Jaguars still have some tricks up their sleeve. Prior to the 2016 season, the Texans tried to lock up Bouye on an extension when he was a restricted free agent past year but Bouye's camp rebuffed the offer. The contract is set to pay Bouye $44 million over the first three years and an average of $13.5 million over the 5 years of the deal with a $10 million signing bonus.
AJ Bouye's agent informed the Houston Texans on Thursday morning that his client would not be returning to the team and would be signing elsewhere in free agency. He also ranked the No. 6 cornerback by Pro Football Focus, giving up just two touchdowns all year. He had one interception and 16 defended passes in 2016, and has recorded six interceptions and 32 defended passes in his four year career. Houston will instead turn to a draft class stacked with elite coverage prospects to fill the void left by this high-profile departure.

According to a person familiar with the deals, the Jaguars have agreed to terms with Arizona defensive end Calais Campbell, Dallas safety Barry Church, and Houston cornerback A.J. Bouye. "Only thing I can think of is a truck with TVs in it", Bouye told Breer.
