With the sportiest setting selected, the e-sport will go from 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds and reach its 130mph top speed in under 10 seconds.
The new Renault Zoe was launched previous year at the Paris Motor show. It has a four-wheel drive powertrain equipped with two electric motors that can produce up to 456bhp. The company said the ZOE e-Sport is meant to bridge the gap between its electric single-seater and its current lineup of EVs, though it seems to lean more toward the race auto - and not just because it shares the same paint scheme.
With each motor spinning an axle of its own, they draw on a 40kWh battery pack that penalises the vehicle 450kg, while a steel tube-frame has helped stiffen the body structure. The body is made entirely of carbon fiber, and is now home to a host of wild scoops and wings created to hint at the performance on offer. Due to the high-performance nature of the electric powertrain, the Zoe e-Sport dedicates almost a third of its 1,400 kg weight to a larger 450 kg battery, which is 160 kg more than one found in the standard vehicle. However, to compensate for the extra weight the hot Zoe's chassis is made from a tubular steel structure and the pumped-up body is made from carbonfibre and Kevlar. Then there's the suspension system, which is furthered by four-way adjustable dampers developed by Ohlins. Gaping tracts in the rear doors, a large rear spoiler and 20-inch centrally-locking diamond cut aluminium wheels complete the racecar inspired look.
Everton fans react on Twitter to Ross Barkley display against Tottenham Hotspur
Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for Everton with nine minutes to go but Dele Alli restored Spurs' two-goal advantage in injury time. Although it was a clinical finish from the Belgian, the regret for Everton was that he only managed one other shot all afternoon.
The go-faster theme continues inside the cabin - accessible by simply tapping on a designated area - where Renault has installed a pair of Recaro bucket seats with racing harness and controls inspired by those found inside a Formula E auto. A new, de-cluttered concept interior design with lashings of Alcantara and angular switches and vents is employed. Regarding the matter of dynamic capability, the Zoe e-Sport has a few tricks up its sleeve. Most significantly though, the Zoe E-sport has a completely flat floor and rear diffuser.
Unfortunately, the E-Sport is only a concept for now as Renault hasn't revealed any info on whether it'll end up as a production model. Let us know below.
