Attorney General Jeff Sessions expressed support on Tuesday for special counsel Robert Mueller, the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director who now leads a broad probe of claims that people linked to President Donald Trump colluded with Russian interests during the 2016 election season.
Rosenstein said, "This may well be within the scope of the Special Counsel's investigation so I'm limited in what I can say about it", referring to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russia's possible ties to the Trump campaign and their effect on November's election.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday that Ruddy did not speak with Trump about firing Mueller as special counsel and other White House aides suggested the Newsmax CEO was only speaking for himself. "If there were not good cause, it wouldn't matter to me what anybody says".
She asked about news reports suggesting that President Donald Trump was already thinking about "terminating" Robert Mueller from his position as special counsel.
Rosenstein is charged with Mueller's fate because Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from all matters having to do with the Trump-Russia investigation.
There is no reason to fire the independent head of the FBI investigation into possible collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign, the Justice Department's number two said Tuesday, APA reports quoting Anadolu agency.
His testimony comes less than a week after Comey said during his own appearance before the Senate Intelligence Committee that he felt Trump had violated the normal separation of criminal investigations from White House oversight by urging him to end the investigation into Russia's activities.
Rosenstein also said that having made political contributions "is not a disqualification" from working for the special counsel leading the Russian Federation investigation. "I do believe it would be catastrophic, and I do believe it would destroy any shred of trust in the president's judgment that remains over here", Senator Dianne Feinstein said.
Amazon introduces 'Try Before You Buy' apparel service
They expect Amazon to increase its share of the US clothing market from 6.6 percent previous year to more than 16 percent by 2021. Other companies like Nordstrom's Trunk Club and Stitch Fix have similar "try before buy" special programs for customers.
Ruddy's statement on PBS Monday that the president might get rid of Mueller lit up the political world, with many wondering where the information came from.
The new talk about dismissing Mueller appeared to be coming from Trump allies - including some close to White House strategist Steve Bannon - who are increasingly frustrated with the prospect of a long and winding probe.
Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller, declined to comment on Ruddy's remarks. Firing another investigator will force even his allies in Congress to deal with constituents who will demand to know if their president is neither. Ruddy said Tuesday that he stands by his comments. Ruddy is long-time friend of the President.
Said Ryan: "I know Bob Mueller".
This followed a weekend of rumors that the president might do so, spurred by Trump's charges that fired FBI Director James Comey was a "leaker" (technically, he wasn't) and by Republicans' charges that Mueller was illegitimately appointed because of the release of Comey's memos and because three members of his team had donated to Democrats in the past. "I have confidence in Bob Mueller".
Trump refused to respond to a reporter asking four times Tuesday whether he will fire Mueller, potentially trying to create some suspense.
"This is an illegitimate special council", Ruddy said.
