If the team takes down the raid boss within five minutes of the battle starting each person who fought will have a chance to catch a Pokemon of the same type as the raid boss. It's not too dissimilar to what we've seen in massively multiplayer online role-playing games like World of Warcraft or shared world shooters like Destiny and its sequel Destiny 2. In addition, you can obtain Rare Candies and Golden Razz Berries after defeating raid bosses.
After defeating a raid boss, Niantic says that players will receive "a collection of rewards".
You can run raid battles in a private group as well. In its statement, Niantic assured players that the gym shutdown would be making way for exciting new features to the game, though the developer did not mention nor enumerate exactly what features would be making a debut in the mobile title. According to these sites, Pokemon Go players can get a special code giving them access to a Legendary Pokemon later in the future by actively using the new gym gameplay. By spinning the Photo Disc, you'll get items in the exact same way. Opposing players can battle these Pokemon in the order they were assigned to the Gym. Furthermore, the company shed light on the game's new motivation system.
The first update of note is a new gym system which is expected to be released before the end of the day. When a Raid Battle begins, all of the Pokemon assigned to that gym will be returned to their trainers and a big Egg with a countdown timer will appear over the gym.
Trump Appears to Confirm He Is Under Federal Investigation
Former FBI head Robert Mueller was appointed as special counsel a day after a report stemming from the notes was published. He also claimed that the person investigating him advised him to fire Comey, though it's unclear whom he was referring to.
And to make things more competitive, defending Pokemon will lose motivation over time, which will lower their effective CP and therefore make them easier to defeat. These passes can be either bought in the cash shop or found at a local Pokemon Gym, but trainers can only hold one pass at a time, which means if you lose the battle, you need a new pass. Now, you can visit friendly gyms to nab unique items and badges, which you can level up to get better rewards at all gyms.
There will also be 6 permanent slots for gyms (although it's not clear if this changes as the Gym levels up), and rather than battling the controlling Pokemon in order of CP, you'll now battle them in the order that they joined the gym.
These changes are set to roll out via updates over the next few weeks.
