Law enforcement officers were stationed along local Interstate 85 exits on Thursday after reports that two escaped inmates sought in the killing of guards in Georgia could possibly be traveling the road in this direction, although there was no solid evidence to confirm that suspicion, authorities said.
Captain Jimmy Patton with the Madison County Sheriff's Office said deputies have checked everywhere they can for Dubose.
Escapees Ricky Dubose and Donnie Rowe, who are armed with the guards' guns, remain at large. Miles says the inmates got in a wreck, left the vehicle and then led police on a foot chase. "These are seriously risky, vicious hoodlums that need to be apprehended".

Sills said the two inmates got a head start by taking and tossing the Honda driver's cellphone and locking the other 31 prisoners inside the bus.
