US President Donald Trump ousted his beleaguered chief of staff Reince Priebus on Friday, replacing him with Homeland Security Secretary and former general John Kelly after vicious White House infighting spilled into the open.
"I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff", Trump told his more than 34.8 million followers on twitter soon after his return from NY.
According to the report, during a meeting in the Oval Office, US President was distracted by a fly which continued to buzz.
Priebus's exit comes almost a week after press secretary Sean Spicer quit the White House, apparently unhappy over the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as communications director.
"Trump in his business career was used to a lot of people having privileges and being able to talk to a lot of people, and he wants to run his White House that way", said Cohen who is co-authoring a book at White House chiefs of staff.

Before taking over as secretary of homeland security, Kelly, 67, served in the top slot of the U.S. Southern Command, the Pentagon's area of responsibility focused on the Caribbean and South America, and notably Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. So, below I ranked all five - from the least bad week to the most bad week.

The Prince William County Police Department said the man who was arrested didn't have identification with him. Garrett said Monday that cutting Whitehead was good for the team and "hopefully good for him going forward".
The President offered Scaramucci the vacant position in the communications shop last Friday.
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of SC, a frequent Trump critic, said that, as Homeland Security chief, Kelly has "been very effective in engaging members of Congress and communicating a coherent message for the President". But it's unclear whether the two will see eye to eye on one of the major issues dogging Trump's White House.
"It's a good time to hit the reset button", Priebus said.
It doesn't matter to their audience whether that's true or not: humiliating the mainstream media is now basically a right-wing meme; pro-Trump journalism is often as much about the actual subject being reported as it is why they believe the mainstream media is wrong or lying about it.
Priebus and Bannon were both against the hiring of Scaramucci, because of the profane and intolerable behavior of the Wall Street Financier and ever since he was brought on board, they have been trying to minimize his involvement at the White House.
The Obama White House didn't always appreciate it. His selection as secretary bolstered concerns about an increase in military influence in a Trump White House. So it's not surprising that of that triumvirate, this is the general he's putting in the White House. "We all serve at the pleasure of the president and if he gets to a place where that isn't the case, he'll let you know".
"I think the president wanted to go in a different direction". The Senate handed Republicans, and Trump, a defeat early Friday when it failed to advance a skinny repeal of that legislation. However, he decided on Kelly because he was impressed by the job he had done leading DHS and trusted him not to leak.
