If the suspension goes into effect, Elliott can still participate in preseason practices and games, and return to the team's active roster as soon as October 23. His first possible game would be Week 8 at Washington.
The letter directs Elliott to see a qualified professional for a clinical evaluation and to undergo counseling and treatment if recommended.
