The new voice shopping choice for Walmart will be effective during late September. Customers will now be able to order items online through Google Home using their voice by linking their Walmart accounts to Google Marketplace. "We're entering an exciting partnership with Walmart to bring you hundreds of thousands of products at Walmart's Every Day Low Prices - everything from laundry detergent to Legos - that you can buy through voice with your Assistant on Google Home or on the Google Express website or app", said a blog post from Google senior vice president Sridhar Ramaswamy. The idea is that busy shoppers will happily allow artificial intelligence to sort out their shopping carts for them. Walmart will integrate Google Express, which already lets people purchase products from a large range of brands, such as Costco and the pharmacy Walgreen's, into its own platform. This technology is still in its infancy amongst retailers, but we will inevitably see a long line of them making the same decision as Walmart to offer its customers a voice-controlled service, removing the need for a cumbersome, physical interface and allow consumers to slot digital services into their lives with less disruption. In-house, it offers its employees to work overtime in delivering purchases made by clients on the Internet. Walmart was up 0.47 percent while Google was down 0.47 percent.
