Clear and still cool.
We will see plenty of sun across North Texas again today, but temperatures will stay a little below what we normally see this time of year. In SELA expect mostly sunny, warm and breezy days with afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Mount Pocono in fact only topped out at 59. In fact, we would not be too surprised if temperatures top out in the low 80s by Tuesday and possibly into Wednesday. All this did however was bubble up some clouds.
Today will be another great day to hit the golf course or do anything outside to enjoy the remainder of the weekend!

High pressure will continue to build into the region as we progress through the beginning of the upcoming week. Temperatures will also start to slowly climb each day as warmer air aloft starts to move in and mix down to the surface. It stays comfortable Tuesday with a few more clouds, but no rain. Rain will be most likely Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain is expected to continue, off and on, through Saturday.
Maybe a little cooler than yesterday, but still about ideal.
On Monday, Hurricane Irma is forecasted to move out of Florida and into Georgia and Alabama as a Tropical Storm. This landfall is absolutely terrible news much of the state, which will bear the brunt of Irma's winds and storm surge, as the northeast quadrant moves over that area. Widespread power outages and flooding are expected throughout Florida as the storm moves north. Irma is a powerful category 4 hurricane. In a cruel twist of fate, Jose will impact some of the small northern Leeward Islands just devastated by Hurricane Irma earlier this week, but it won't be as crippling of a strike. Florida will be greatly impacted, so if you have friends or relatives in Florida, make sure they are prepared.
