Siemian's regression paved the way for Osweiler to step into the starting role, and it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out from here.
Head Coach Vance Joseph informed his team Osweiler would start this weekend during a team meeting ahead of Wednesday's practice.
Might the Broncos be ready to put that right arm of Osweiler to use?
This time Osweiler is trying to do what Siemian will be left to do down the road - rebuild himself and his career. We've lost three games in a row, and again, yesterday with (five) turnovers. "I think it's fair to examine [the quarterback] position and all positions".
The Broncos are 3-4 and on a three-game losing streak heading into the game against the Eagles. He threw for 2,957 yards with 15 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. He also lost a costly fumble against the Chargers in a 21-0 loss October 22. He added that Siemian has been "pressing to be a special player for us", a sentiment the quarterback himself admitted following Monday night's loss.
"When you watch Trevor, even last night, he made three disgusting interceptions, " Joseph said.
"He had 20 other plays that we're really, really good, " Joseph said of Siemian.

Osweiler flopped in Houston in 2016 and was traded to the Cleveland Browns earlier this year before being cut.
That was when Osweiler signed back with the Broncos.
Osweiler spent his first four National Football League seasons with the Broncos as Peyton Manning's backup and had stints with the Texans and Browns before re-signing with Denver in September ahead of the regular season.
Last season with the Houston Texans Osweiler started 14 games and went 8-6 as the starting quarterback.
John Elway said Tuesday the quarterback position in Denver is under review. As for what the Eagles' defense should expect, let's just hope Osweiler comes out a little rusty, and shows similarities of the quarterback that struggled all of a year ago with the Texans. Now, the Broncos have made their call. And Joseph is not taking the ramifications of that choice lightly.
"It's my job to do what's best for the football team", Joseph said Tuesday.
"In your heart, you know he can play better because those three balls he threw, you just can't throw". Guys are playing hard.
