CWC will meet around 10.30 am at Congress president Sonia Gandhi's residence 10 Janpath and announce the poll schedule for the party president election.
After which, as per reports, the Congress president and party vice-president were asked to file their reply to the plea on July 22.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi has convened a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on November 20 amid indications that Rahul Gandhi may be elevated as Congress President before voting takes place for Gujarat Assembly elections.
Various Pradesh Congress Committees (State units) have already written to Sonia Gandhi endorsing Rahul's future appointment as her successor. He also came down heavily on Gandhi for his incessant criticism of demonetisation and GST."During his Gujarat visits in the past month, Rahul has been resorting to lies".
Rahul's elevation to the rank of Congress president is being considered as a precursor to he being announced as the Congress' prime ministerial candidate for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

The Congress had deferred the organisational elections after Sonia Gandhi's five-year term as party president ended in 2015.
