Mike Pence encounters resistance in Virginia

Pence leaving would be a major blow to the Trump campaign, but it would make sense considering all the very bad information that's come out about the presidential candidate since he signed on.

At Pence's rally, he didn't mention anything about Trump telling a debate moderator that he disagreed with Pence's stance on Russia's involvement in Syria. "The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me", she said.

"That's absolutely false to suggest that at any point in time we considered dropping off this ticket", Pence told CNN.

"I truly do believe four weeks from now when the polls close across America we're going to make Donald trump the 45th president of the United States of America", said Governor Pence.

"The real story this morning is that Donald Trump stepped up and won a debate last night that seemed to be against all odds", Pence said.

A top Pence aide confirmed Monday morning that the IN governor's tweet means he plans to stick with Trump through the election, a little less than a month away.

It took almost 24 hours before she did but even Trump's wife Melania said she felt offended by the video.

Pat Toomey also refused to acknowledge Trump's debate appearance. "I apologize to my family, I apologized to the American people", the GOP nominee said.

Pence says trump has shown humility, apologized and is ready to move past the controversy.

"Donald Trump last night showed that he's a big man".
